ABOUT COURTNEY
Courtney Morris started her journey in health over twenty years ago. She is one of the only people in B.C. to hold a dual diploma in both Acupuncture and Homeopathy. She started in general practice, treating both acute and chronic conditions by treating not just the symptoms but also looking at the root of the issue.
After the birth of her children, it opened up the interest in obstetrics and gynaecology and she has dedicated her study to this field. She is a part of the Obstetrical Acupuncture Association and has been to Mexico to teach Obstetrical Acupuncture to help improve birth outcomes.
She also trained as a doula and has spent much time in hospitals using acupuncture and homeopathy to support women in labour. And has been lucky enough to work with midwives and Ob's to support women’s needs in pregnancy and postpartum. She believes in working in collaboration with care providers to provide the best possible care for the patient.
She is a kind and gentle healer whose empathetic nature is a gift to all of her patients.
Courtney is a Graduate of PCU College of Holistic Medicine and a registrant in good standing with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture of BC (CTCMA of BC). She holds a diploma in Classical Homeopathy from The Vancouver Centre for Homeopathy. Courtney has had the opportunity to travel around the world and study with Dr. Farouk Masters in India, taken the Masters Clinician Course with Louis Klein, Advanced clinical studies in Greece with George Vithoulkas and Volunteer clinical treatments in villages in Kenya. Acupuncture extra studies with Debra Betts, and Yvonne Ferrell and Robin Green.
Courtney lives with her husband and two children and dog and cat on Bowen Island.
her journey….
It was the birth of my first child in 2007 that really solidified my direction of practice. The information that was given to me at the time was minimal. I feel the wisdom of women in birth has been broken and wanted to help be a part of the repair. Birth can be an empowering and transformative experience as well as bonding for the partners. I have since supported upward of a thousand women in their pregnancy, postpartum and fertility journeys. I have had the opportunity to aid women in labour, both at home births and in hospitals, and have worked with IVF and IUI patients, both in clinic and at IVF centers. I realize how important working with a health team is, and I work with many Doctors, OB’s, Midwives, doulas and allied health practitioners, all with the same goal of optimal wellness and empowerment for the patient.
I have been in the field for 20 years and am a Graduate of PCU College of Holistic Medicine and a registrant in good standing with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture of BC (CTCMA of BC). I hold a diploma in Classical Homeopathy from The Vancouver Centre for Homeopathy. I have had the opportunity to travel the world and have studied with Dr. Farouk and various Masters in India, taken the Masters Clinician Course with Louis Klein, Advanced clinical studies in Greece with George Vithoulkas, and provided volunteer clinical treatments in villages in Kenya. I have undertaken extra Acupuncture studies with Debra Betts, Yvonne Ferrell, and Robin Green. I am a member of the Obstetrical Acupuncture Association (OBAA).
